Modern orthodontics and obstructed airways

There is a fascinating book available called "Jaws: The Story of a Hidden Epidemic" by Sandra Kahn and Paul R. Ehrlich. It discusses how correcting crowded teeth has a correlation with obstructing airways. An obstructed airway leads to Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome, which is slowly becoming a leading contributor of heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and many other systemic problems.
