Alternative to CPAP for obstructive sleep apnea

Does your dentist offer Obstructive Sleep Apnea(OSA) treatment recommended by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine for mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea? A Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) machine has been the historical method to treat sleep apnea prescribed by physicians. However it only treats the symptoms and not the underlying cause, which is a constricted airway. Proper treatment of mild to moderate OSA includes an oral appliance manufactured by a dentist that are much more comfortable and tolerable than a CPAP. Don’t neglect your health simply because you’ve been told that a CPAP is your only option to treat OSA. At Manoa Dental, Dr. Keri Do has extensive training to not only create oral appliances, but also evaluate and treat a constricted airway.
